Kentucky fends off Kansas for 8th NCAA title

Monday April 2nd  Update

The final standings have now been updated.  Congratulations to Monchai Kaye for winning the $5 pool and to Steve Genslinger for winning the $10 pool.

Thanks to everyone for playing this year, our most successful year ever!

Out of the Running but still crave some action?  Check out HRBOMBERS.COM. This baseball pool is easy and looks to be alot of fun. It was created by and run by a couple friends in Colorado Springs.  These guys know how to run a pool.

This Cash Pool is all about which players will hit the most home runs in the 2012 season? Who’s going to Mash? Who will be the Sleepers? Who will fail miserably? Who will get hurt?

Complete the following THREE steps to create and enter your selections.

-Step 1, select one player from each five “Power Groups”. These players are grouped together based on multiple projections for the upcoming season.
-Step 2, select any five players from the Field List. This will give you 10 players total.
-Step 3, click the “submit team" button at the bottom of the page, then sit back and try to relax.

Please note, you’ll be able to edit your entry(s) as many times as needed until midnight of 4-3-12 CST.

The six monthly and the overall winner will be based on the most home runs from your best NINE players, not ten.

Your entry fee of $50 per entry is due by 4-22-12

MarchMelee 2012

NCAAbasketball1March is here and the conference tournaments are under way.  Selection Sunday is now just days away and the Tournament is set to begin on March 15th. The Pool this year has not changed from the previous 10 years so those of you who have played in the past should be very familiar with everything.  Those that have not played, this pool is your basic fill out a bracket and hope for the best type pool.

Pool Types

We will be running our usual $5 pool this year.  Entry fees are based on the number of entries you submit and all fees are due by tip-off of the 1st game of the tournament or March 15th at 12 Noon Eastern Time.
We will also be running a $10 pool this year. Over the last couple years, people have requested a $10 pool.  I have resisted, but decided to "test the waters" this year.  The difference is that the $10 pool is WINNER TAKE ALL.  You are of course free to play either one or play both as many times as your wallet and significant other will allow.

Entry Fees

There will be ZERO exceptions to this rule.  This is by far the biggest headache in running this pool - getting everyone to pay and pay on time. The deadline to submit your picks is 12:15 PM (EDT) on Thursday March 17th and there will be no exceptions. To be safe, get your picks in at least an hour before the deadline. If I do not receive your entry fees by the deadline, your bracket will be voided.  Over the last couple years this pool has grown from just a 50 or so entries to over 200.  I have seen an increase in people waiting to see how their brackets do before they decide on if they are paying or not.  This is obviously not fair to anyone who participates so I am forced now to enforce this rule.  If you want to play, you have to pay - simple as that.
